As you may know, I have highly sensitive skin and after a dermatitis issue last year, I’ve been more and more interested in natural, gentle, certified-organic products. So, when I discovered a new organic skincare line at Bloomingdale’s recently, I had to share.

Patyka, meaning apothecary in Hungarian, is a Parisian organic cosmetics company whose origins date back to 1922 when it was created in a small pharmacy in the Le Marais district of Paris. Eighty years later, Patyka became one of the first cosmetic brands in the world to be certified organic by ECOCERT, the world’s strictest and most respected international certifications for organic, environmentally-friendly products.

Their Huile Absolue Serum ($70), formulated by the pharmacy’s owner using a cold mixture of essential and plant-based oils, grew the demand behind the brand—and it’s still a bestseller, affordable (many of their products are under $100), suitable for all skin types, and uses the same ingredients today as they did in the past: Rose Hip, Saint John’s Wort, Red Mandarin, Neroli Geranium, Sandalwood, Jojoba Oil, and Vegetal Squalane. The serum’s Omegas 3 and 6, retinol, and tannins promote a youthful, radiant glow while also softening and protecting your complexion. Plus, a facial oil is especially necessary with the colder season… layer it under or over your facial moisturizer to keep skin hydrated and healthy.  I have also been using their Energising Eye Gel ($48) in the morning and Youthful Lift Eye Cream ($70) at night and my eyes are better for it!
