Aloe Jeans

The science behind aloe infused jeans.

With a new year, many people are motivated to feel and look better. This usually requires work, but there is an innovative technology gaining attention in the fashion world that can make part of your body look smoother with no effort.

Several companies are stating they can help you achieve healthy looking legs with aloe vera infused in their denim. Along with aloe, Mohicano Jeans (Chiliean denim company) includes vitamin E, amino acids, and other enzymes that supposedly reduce the appearance of those pesky cellulite and stretch marks many women dream of disappearing.

Developed in South America, this innovative technology introduces microcapsules into the denim during the fabric production. In this process (shown above), sheets of fabric is rolled into a machine and treated with high temperature fluid containing the microcapsules. This heat treatment allows the intertwining threads of the fabric to bind with the capsule. The fabric is then rolled out into another machine and then cooled. When wearing the jeans, your body heat allows the microcapsules to be released and absorbed into the skin. For Mochicano Jeans, the microcapsules last for a good 40 wash.

A trial was performed with 160 women wearing these jeans for 15 days and the results showed 2/3 of them noticed better looking legs. Sounds convincing!

There is no word if Mohicano Jeans will be selling in the states, but it has been announced Wrangler Jeans will have their version called “Denim Spa Therapy” available in the US.  It is a matter of time before your favorite brand cuts to roll out their own. This is big! Once we know where and how you can buy these jeans, we’ll keep you updated!
