Credo, Latin for “I believe,” is a beauty destination for natural beauty products that just opened their first outpost in San Francisco on Fillmore Street. Created by a founding member of the Sephora team, Credo aims to change the way people think about the ingredients and products they use. Credo believes their products should be totally natural, super good, and absolutely beautiful. Not only can you shop and try their exceptionally curated products, but they offer Tata Harper facials and make up applications so you can figure out how to use all that goodness. Naturally, all brands are free of harmful toxins, must feel good, and be effective. All the easier for you to clean up your beauty routine. Ta da.

Sage Advice from the Far East
Koreans have long been known for their beautiful skin, what you may not know is that their multi-layered beauty regimes is not for the faint of heart. But lately, their lengthy routines are making headlines in the US and their products are invading the market. While you may be overwhelmed at the possibility of a 10 to 17-step process (sheet mask, anyone?) – some huge takeaways can be found and the results speak for themselves. Read about the process to see how you can shake up your bathroom time and find the products at Peach and Lily, Sokoglam, Birchbox, and Sephora. You’ll be closer to porcelain skin in no time.

People are always asking me questions- opinions and advice are wanted on wedding dresses, floor rugs, paint color for bathrooms, great jeans, lamps, a 12-year-old’s-first-dance-and-doesn’t-want-advice-from-mom, etc. They come in a variety of mediums: phone calls, email, text, gchats, facebook, in-person. But they almost always come in the same fashion: a frantic 911 style-emergency s-o-s.

Earlier this week, I was sent this question:

Any suggestions for cute family photo wear? We are getting our pictures taken outside and I’m having a difficult time dressing the family of little girls and my husband….

To which I answered:

Nothing says fun like family portrait time. Am I right? 🙂 To make it easier- I’d try prints for girls. There are so many lovely prints right now and nothing says Spring like soft floral print http://bit.ly/dp2a2K or a bright bold print, a la: http://bit.ly/9WvrbT . Once you have the girls figured out, build the other looks off of that. For you and dad- the idea is to be a coordinating foundation for the prints, but you- being the mom get to take it up a notch. Perhaps a dress with an understated ruffle or separates with sass (example: http://bit.ly/bZKE2x), think airy to channel Spring and add an accessory in a color from the print. And Dad is easy- get him in chinos and a shirt that coordinates with the color scheme.

Another strategy to make life easier, is to begin with the person that is the hardest to fit or is the most picky. (It would have been me in my family ;)…) Find something for them and then build the rest of the families looks around that.

Also, I adore stripes… CLASSIC! And an easy way to build coordinating looks for a family! Or do a la Modern Family and have your theme be all white and uber clean. 🙂
