The treasure trove of goodies offered by a French pharmacy is second to none and during a pillaging this fall, Lazartigue was recommended to me.  I have hair masks for intensive conditioning, but needed new daily(ish) conditioner that wasn’t heavy but still deeply moisturizing.  The woman asked me my hair type and concerns and said this would be “magnifique” with her lovely French accent.  Though dubious, the accent and confidence sold me.  She did not lie.  It’s light, but thoroughly moisturizes without weighing it down.  It leaves my hair BABYsoft and shiny, which is something that eluded me.  Lazartigue Intensive Repair Conditioner ($34 for 5.1 fl oz), a winter essential for hair that needs some TLC worked wonders on my strands.

Founded in 1963 by visionary French hairdresser, Jean-François Lazartigue, it’s one of the first botanically-infused haircare products beginning in 1981.
Lazartigue’s motto is: “keep the essential, remove the unnecessary” – one that I personally advocate within my own lifestyle and for my clients’ wardrobes.  With a focus on seasonal and personal needs, based on one’s lifestyle and environment, the vegan line is free of sulfates and silicone, and addresses external factors like pollution, sun, coloring, and heat styling, as well as internal factors like fatigue, stress, diet, and even pregnancy.

All their products are exclusively made in Europe with as little packaging as possible and made with recycled materials whenever possible.
