With this beautiful season of light and festivities also comes the stress of getting everything done and the occasional excess from holiday menus and makeup. Here are a few of my favorite ways to detox and reset – before you layer on the heavy moisturizer.

/ 1 / If your skin is itchy, inflamed, or flaky- give this a whirl.  I discovered this product after a dermatitis flare from fluoride toothpaste. These skincare supplements from Organic Olivia ParaPro target the GI tract with clearing botanical herbs to support microbial balance and intestinal ecology, so you can feel your best and get your gut and skin back in healthy balance. Don’t believe me?  Read the reviews. $69.95

/ 2 / I try to use the GloPRO Pack n’ Go Microneedling Set weekly to ward off any blemishes before they start.  Microneedling has been shown to regenerate collagen for smoother, firmer, and toned skin and the red LED reduces redness redness, scarring, wrinkles, and age spots. I make sure my face is clean and start rolling—avoiding any blemishes that may be lurking.  I usually follow up with a mask or a serum and a great moisturizer.  Makes a great gift! $279

/ 3 / No detox list would be complete without a product from Goop, am I right? Admittedly, I haven’t tried much of the line, but this is a gem of a body wash.  With a lather I didn’t see coming from a clay product, the Goop Beauty G.Tox Glacial Marine Clay Body Cleanser makes me feel like I’ve just been dipped in a mud bath and scrubbed clean. $30

/ 4 / Where have these Hero Mighty Patches been all my life? Despite my best nighttime beauty routine, I will inevitably get a zit from time to time. Thank you stress and hormones- it’s great to be alive!  And to celebrate, I will pop a patch onto a blemish and it really works to clear it quickly. $12.99

/ 5 / Intense for the first few minutes, the Hear Me Raw “The Detoxifier with Charcoal face mask has me hooked for the clean feeling it gives and brightness it delivers, while not being as messy as other clay masks. Plus it comes in a reusable glass jar and lid, with a recyclable and refillable pod that can be bought separately. $42
