For the man about town that wants to reduce chaos in his life, look no further than the New Jersey-based luxury menswear custom clothier brand Todd Shelton. Todd has created a custom-fit, direct-to-consumer line of classic menswear staples that are fully created and manufactured in his own factory and showroom in East Rutherford, New Jersey – just 10 miles outside Manhattan.
After years of personal frustration with menswear brands, Todd created his own brand of menswear for men who care about fit, fashion, and function… essentially men who want to dress sharp, save time and energy, and stay focused on living their best lives rather than being distracted by their clothes. With humble beginnings in his Jersey City apartment, the Tennessee native founded his own fair-trade and conscious brand (before that was a thing) in 2002, and initially sold his line on the streets in Soho.
Everything that Todd creates is made with purpose and passion – from sketching designs and pattern making, sourcing performance fabrics from sustainably-conscious mills (like Kuroki Denim in Japan to family-owned Somelos in Portugal), to construction and production using 55 in-house sewing machines.
Prices range from $85 for custom t-shirts to $275 for custom denim pants and ships within 10 days after the initial fitting. Limited seasonal releases are listed on the website.
