I hope everyone is having a great year so far! At just over 3 months in resolutions are waning, but I’m doubling down and reframing them as goals which really seems to help. One major goal I have is to wake up and smell the flowers, or see the ducks, as the case may be. I really have a tendency to lose myself in work and the day(s) just disappear. So I’ve decided to start my day with a walk in Central Park. The ‘fresh’ New York air, the ducks in the pond, the seals in the Zoo, the early morning zen of the trees and streets before it’s wild with commuters and tourists –  helps set the tone for the day. I got some good mileage in before the string of nor’easters and thundersnows of the past few weeks, but after my time in San Francisco – it’ll be the perfect time to recommit to this routine.

Back at my desk, I’m excited about moving forward on a few goals! We have been working diligently for the last few months monitoring what services you like, love, want, and need. If you have thoughts to share – it’s never too late! Please do write, call, text, DM, or carrier pigeon so we can incorporate.  Past feedback resulted in a new and improved menu, an on-call service, and a seasonal shopping subscription – a carefully considered curation of my favorites personally chosen for you and delivered to your door.

The goal is and has been to make myself more accessible for YOU, and we think we did just the trick! We are tying up a few loose ends in the coming months before introducing, but wanted to get you guys as excited about this as we are. Keep an eye out for the introductory email, you won’t want to miss these changes!

Lastly, I’m delighted to be hosting the opening celebration of Joseph Altuzarra’s first shop on the West Coast! Joseph and I both started our businesses in 2008, and I’ve so enjoyed watching him develop a collection that is for and celebrates the confident, modern, seductive woman. His work is both visionary and attainable and that’s what I’ve loved about him from the start. On March 22nd at Neiman Marcus San Francisco, we’ll begin the evening with a brief conversation about why and how he designs and move into how he translates the runway to reality – something we are both passionate about. We will close with some Q&A before giving everyone a chance to be introduced to the collection, and styled over cocktails. If you’d like to be a part of this event, please email chanel@qthestylist.com immediately and learn more about Joseph below in Spotlight.
