As some of you know, I just returned from a visually arresting trip to Miami Art Week.  Every December, Miami is home to Art Basel and Design Miami showcasing hundreds of artists and galleries from all over the world.  Pop-up art festivals surround these main events, and in addition to the city’s core galleries and museums – it makes for an art lovers mecca.  It’s so exciting that it’s easy to get overwhelmed, but thankfully Miami Beach is just outside the tent.  And naturally, I also took in a little retail therapy and met some new designers along the way.

I stumbled into a great little pop-up shop featuring a number of incredible designers.   With Parsons training and a celebrity-following Erika Pena‘s use of large cut stones, heavy tassels, beading, and texture make for major statement pieces. Erika’s Culebra Dragon Ring at $226 is above.
Sophie Simone work is delicate, slightly whimsical, and very versatile.  I am in love with her stacking IT rings ($35) which I haven’t taken off since buying.  And her Circle bracelet and necklace make for great 24/7 pieces. All are quality handcrafted gems.
