As you might not know, I work with an AMAZING local (most likely, not for long) band, called Bang Data.  I’ve done some video styling for them and we recently did a great photo shoot with them.  We were lucky enough to pull from West Coast Leather, an outfit that has outfitted only the best of the best rock stars for years- we are talking Elvis, Elton John, Bon Jovi, Cher, Usher, etc.  And an amazing photographer (and friend), visiting SF from Chicago, Denver Smith of Everything inFocus worked the lens for us.  We got some great shots, which was just in time for Bang Data to get some East Bay Express love!

East Bay Express’

Best of the East Bay Party Mainstage Band Preview

The East Bay

Express is throwing the biggest and baddest party in the East Bay on Friday, August 6 at Jack London Square and each week we’ll be featuring one of the bands you’ll get to experience from the main stage.

This week’s spotlight: Bang Data
Bay Area artists Bang Data bring you a mix of slick and melodic guitar, gritty synth & bass, over banging electro-acoustic rhythms – the perfect canvas for the bilingual rhymes and melodies of frontman Deuce Eclipse. Bang Data’s sound is a mash-up of styles combining hints of Latin, Reggae, Hip-Hop & Rock, which is nostalgic while offering a futuristic vision of Latin Alternative music.

The debut EP entitled Maldito Carnaval was released in 2009 and includes 7 songs that take you from a Samba-Ska-Cumbia and Electro-Bossanova to a Synth Bass Heavy Stooges infested beat.

Check them out and listen to songs at the Bang Data MySpace page. And check back here every week for a new band preview for the 2010 Best of the East Bay Party!
