The Right to Shoes

Among the little boutiques on the Upper East Side, Chuckies is a true shopping destination. Opened in Brooklyn in 1980, Chuckies has catered to NYC’s finest heels from Madonna to Beyoncé, and often carries designers before they have their own store. Ritch Erani, the store’s creator, mixes in his own footwear line with a highly edited selection of soles including Balenciaga, Jimmy Choo, Robert Clergerie, Lanvin, and Giuseppe Zanotti.  Chuckies keeps urban life in the forefront of its variety, showing not only beautiful options for galas but also extremely wearable shoes for all the walking New Yorkers do.  A collection this curated, thoughtful, and often exclusive is becoming increasingly rare as more people rely on online retailers.  While the shoes are legendary, one of my favorite parts about Chuckies is the selection of handbags and often one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces.  We all know shoes and accessories can make or break a look and Chuckies never misses the mark.  Shop their two locations on the UES in NYC or online.
